HAIR TRANSPLANT (Micro follicular Technique)
This is a procedure which involves redistribution of occipital hair (which is relatively unaffected by the factors responsible for male pattern baldness) to the front and top of the bald head to create a natural looking hair pattern. Particular stress is laid to create a very natural looking anterior hair line to mimic one as close to that of nature in accordance with the age of the patient.
This Micro Follicular Hair Transplantation technique involves harvesting a strip of hair bearing skin from the back of the head under local anaesthesia. The donor area is closed and the scar is virtually invisible even soon after surgery. The strip is then processed under magnification to produce single or double hair bearing follicular units. Depending on the requirement as dictated by the individual situation, these may range from 1000-2500 follicular units.
At this stage the skill & expertise of our surgeons enable them to intricately preserve the hair follicles that are then intricately & individually implanted into the bald areas under local anaesthesia. The patient is conscious and pain free at all occasions and is free to participate in planning of the surgery. After the surgical procedure, the patient is given a small dressing which is removed after 36 hours. He is free to go home and perform all routine activities with almost no restrictions.
The hair follicles that are implanted are durable and last almost the entire lifetime, passing through all changes as would normal hair. The patient can style the hair as they want. These are natural hair.
