GYNAECOMASTIA (Male Breast Reduction)

Gynaecomastia or excess development of breast tissues occurs as 40 to 60 % of men. This condition can cause extreme embarrassment, social inhibition and self-consciousness for boys and men who suffer from it.

The operation is performed under general anaesthesia and although it generally a day procedure, one may need to stay in one or two nights. Excess breast tissues may be removed with liposuction or through surgery or a combination of both. Patients can experience mild to moderate discomfort for a few days. Recovery time is usually 3 to 6 weeks and results emerge as the swelling goes down.
